At the training academy for aspiring knights who participate in jousting, Takahiro Mizuno is the story's main character. He joined the academy with the goal of becoming a knight, having boasted an unvanquished record as a junior champion in his homeland. Nevertheless, he was forced to abandon his ambitions after injuring himself during the tournament's final round. As a result, he makes the decision to assist one of the academy's female knights as a begleiter so that she may emerge triumphant.
