Upon Kazuma Satou's death, he was faced with two options: pass on to the afterlife or be resurrected in a mystical alternate reality. Opting for the latter, he was assigned a task by the goddess Aqua to conquer the Demon King and was allowed to select any weapon to aid him. Regrettably, Kazuma decided to bring Aqua along, leading to a frustrating association with the exasperating priestess. As fate would have it, the two needed to find means to maintain a means of livelihood. The situation only exacerbated when they were joined by several more troublesome adventurers. Their spellcaster, Megumin, could only use a single spell each day despite being proficient in explosive magic and refusing to learn any other spell. They also have a formidable ally in Darkness, a masochistic crusader who makes Kazuma appear angelic in comparison. The sequel of Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku wo! 2 chronicles the adventures of Kazuma and his comrades as they attempt to make money while wrestling with each other's disagreeable personas. However, their plans often go awry, often straying away from their initial objectives due to their own silly tendencies.
