Despite his initial reluctance, Dante, the owner of "Devil May Cry," agrees to protect Patty Lowell, a missing heiress, brought to him by J.D. Morrison. Assigned to be her bodyguard, Dante's reputation as a lazy man belies his remarkable demon hunting skills, which come in handy once the demons begin pursuing Patty. As he undertakes the mission to protect her, Dante finds out that the case is more complex than he thought. Notwithstanding the challenge, he uses his expertise to safeguard Patty from any harm.
