Almost all life on planet Zi was wiped out by natural disasters, leaving it in ruins. Yet, after a thousand years, humanity has slowly rebuilt society by salvaging ancient Zoids through diving and mining. In a village where the most revered object is a massive sword worshipped as a holy relic, a teenage boy uncovers an ancient Liger-type Zoid during a deep water salvage mission. However, the village is soon under attack by skeletal Bio-Zoids who seek to steal a powerful generator located within it.
