While riding alongside Jack Atlas and Crow Hogan, Paradox, a puzzling Turbo Duelist from the future, captures Yuusei Fudou's Stardust Dragon during a Turbo Duel and transforms it into a Sin Monster. Yuusei, aided by the Crimson Dragon, embarks on a pursuit of Paradox who has fled through a time slip, arriving in the past. Here, Paradox comes to blows with Jaden Yuki, who still possesses the powers of Yubel and The Supreme King. However, Paradox has already captured Cyber End Dragon and Rainbow Dragon, which prove too much for Jaden to handle. Thanks to Yuusei and the Crimson Dragon, Jaden is saved, and he informs Yuusei of Paradox's true desires, which include stealing different monsters from various times, rendering them evil and killing Maximillion Pegasus - creator of Duel Monsters. In doing so, Paradox hopes to eliminate the game's creation and, thereby, prevent the events of all three series from ever materializing. Banding together, Yuusei and Jaden decide to go after Paradox, who has returned to the past, bringing them face-to-face with the King of Games himself, Yuugi Mutou. Unfortunately, by the time they arrive, Paradox has already attacked, purportedly killing Pegasus and Yuugi's grandfather and stealing Blue-Eyes White Dragon and Red-Eyes Black Dragon. After laying out the situation for Yuugi, he agrees to unite with Yuusei and Jaden in the ultimate three-on-one duel, aiming to release the imprisoned monsters and save both the world and time itself before it's too late.
