A decade has passed since the fateful confrontation with Unicron, and certain Decepticon soldiers have joined forces with the Autobots to extract Energon- a novel source of energy. However, a fresh wave of malevolence has risen in the form of Alpha Q, who has banded together with Scorponok and the Terrorcons to seize the Autobots' Energon. This newfound nemesis yearns to reanimate Megatron and Unicron, thereby resurrecting the ancient warfare.
