Hajime Kindaichi, a high school student, is believed to be the grandson of renowned private detective Kosuke Kindaichi. During a trip to Hong Kong for a fashion event with Kindaichi, Hajime's girlfriend Miyuki is mistakenly taken captive by a stranger. The ensuing quest to rescue her leads to the discovery of another criminal case.
