There are three categories of inhabitants who reside in Kyoto namely humans, raccoon dogs, and tengu. Third in line is Shimogamo Yasaburou, the son of Shimogamo's raccoon dog family. His father, Souichirou, was once the chief of Kyoto's raccoon dog society before being devoured by human members of the notorious "Friday Club." As Yasaburou attends to an elderly tengu, contends with other raccoon dogs, and interacts with a clairvoyant human girl, he edges closer to uncovering the reality behind his father's unfortunate passing.
