A special unit, known as the dragon dentists, is responsible for keeping their teeth in optimal condition. Nonoko Kishii is the sole survivor from among many courageous candidates who were recruited into the dragon dentists. To become a dragon dentist, one must be prepared to confront their own mortality and meet their fate without resistance. The dragon dentists are fully aware of their inevitable demise and are devoted to their responsibilities. The arrival of Bernard "Bel" Octavius, a young enemy officer killed by his own men and reanimated by the dragon's teeth, becomes a turning point for the unit. Despite his ominous presence, Nonoko takes him on as a dental apprentice.
