When Zhou Xiaoan, a first-year student, puts on a mysterious ring, a terrifying demon emerges from his mouth, leading him to go through a distressing transformation. Throughout the narrative, Xiaoan discovers shocking truths about the past, such as the presence of Blood Devil, or King Zhou of Shang, a pack of heart-consuming zombies, a dubious organization of Taoist Priests who oppose them, and supernatural beings that can effortlessly assimilate into human society.
