Between 2001 and 2006, the Inter-College Animation Festival took place annually and offered Japanese animation students a valuable chance to kick off their professional trajectories. The festival highlighted the cream of the crop in animation submissions, spanning a range of techniques from CGI to stop-motion. The judging panel was comprised of esteemed individuals like Taku Furukawa, Katayama Masahiro, and Kihune Tokumitsu.
