As Ryu pays tribute to his late mentor, Gouken, memories of his mentor's murderer haunt him. He is resolute in his goal to showcase his skills as a genuine martial artist and wipe out the unsettling legacy of the Dark Hadou, but he must first perfect his street fighting abilities. His newly acquired strength will be measured in a final showdown against his fierce adversary, Gouki (Akuma).
