Adapted from the 41st volume of the original manga, the storyline of the anime centers around the "Figure Wars" tale. The iconic character from a popular tokusatsu television show, Oban, and its toys witness a brief moment of fame before being forgotten and discarded. However, when one of the abandoned Oban toys gets hit by lightning, it comes to life and joins forces with similarly forsaken toys to take revenge on humanity. Fate intervenes as Oban's longtime adversary, the typically overweight and gloomy Chūkōnen Kamen, gains life and strength by consuming cup noodles. Along with Shinnosuke, the three embark on a quest to restore peace and calm to the world.
