Once upon a time, a planet that may have been Earth was devastated by a battle between mechanized samurai. However, eventually the conflict came to an end and peace was enjoyed by the inhabitants. Unfortunately, the villagers of Kanna Village were faced with a grim reality of hunger and fear. They were constantly targeted by a ruthless group of bandits called Nobuseri, whose bodies had been replaced by machines. In an effort to protect themselves, the villagers made the risky decision to hire samurai. Kirara, the village's water priestess, along with her sister Komachi and Rikichi, who was mourning a heartbreak, set out to find help, offering only rice from their meager harvest as payment. Luckily, they were able to recruit a group of seven samurai, each with unique skills and backgrounds. Together, they faced off against the bandits and their powerful merchant leaders in a monumental showdown. Samurai 7 is a modified version of the renowned Seven Samurai movie by Kurosawa Akira, also known as Shichinin no Samurai.
