Centuries ago in mythology, a Holy War raged for 200 years between Athena and Hades as they defended the earth against each other. Moving forward to 18th century Europe, 243 years prior to the original "Saint Seiya," three childhood friends - Tenma, Alone, and Sasha - lived happily together. Tenma, a fierce but honorable person, left for Sanctuary to become a saint where he was excited to reunite with Sasha, who he later discovers is the reincarnation of Athena. Moreover, Alone, a gentle and artistic individual, was chosen as the vessel for the enemy King Hades. Ultimately, Tenma became the Pegasus saint and fought against his best friend, who had become the King of Hades. As fate would have it, the trio's destinies were intertwined, resulting in a prologue of the original Saint Seiya.
