When Subaru Natsuki awakens, he realizes he's in a parallel universe of the fantasy world he's familiar with. Although he recognizes everyone, his friends are greatly altered, relishing modern society with which he's all too acquainted. Even though this enigmatic world piques the boy's curiosity, his actions clash with the questionable locals, leading to a variety of entertaining situations.
