If it weren't for her ability to see ghosts, Hibiki Amami would just be an average high school student. In spite of this, Amami is not frightened by the apparitions and is eager to make friends and assist them whenever possible. As a result, her human companions often bear witness to paranormal events as the ghosts attempt to aid Amami with her everyday tasks. While most of Amami's acquaintances accept her sixth sense, Narumi Inoue cannot accept the existence of the supernatural. Even though she is afraid and obstinate, Inoue ultimately joins her friends in supporting Amami's crusade to assist ghosts in any way they can.
