In 1990, a claymation movie featuring robots, a sci-fi theme, and alligators sporting human arms was created using gypsum. The movie was later broadcasted in 1991 on the Japanese TV program Miyake Yuuji no Ebizori Kyoshou Tengoku, also known as "Ebiten." This TV program showcased the works of various indie filmmakers. One of the characters in this claymation movie was Pulta, who later became the prototype character for Bowda Katsuhi's anime, Robot Pulta, which he created when he was employed by NHK.
