Set in the PriPara realm, the anime revolves around young girls indulging in their desires and aspirations for fashion, dance, and music. Each day brings forth auditions that steer top idols towards global stardom on TV and the internet. Laala and her peers are enchanted by this realm, but her school forbids children in elementary school from engaging in PuriPara-related activities. Serendipitously, Laala gets an opportunity to take her first step into the world of PriPara, where she could potentially mark her debut.
