Yuuki plummets to the ground in Astraea with nothing but his name to recall. Kokkoro, an elf, appears and assumes the role of guide for Yuuki as they journey forth into the unknown. Kokkoro educates Yuuki on the perils of the new world, including monster fighting and money management. In need of cash, the two head to a guild association to pick up some quests. During their travels, they encounter Pecorine, a combatant with a voracious appetite, as well as Karyl, a feline wizard. The four very different personalities soon bond and choose to start their own guild, where they will continue to discover new territories and creatures, and possibly discover Yuuki's forgotten past.
