Despite failing his college entrance exams, Tsukasa Mizugaki secures a job at Sion Artificial Intelligence Corporation through his connections. The company specializes in creating incredibly advanced androids called "Giftias" that look and act like real humans. However, Giftias can only operate for up to 81,920 hours, or approximately nine years and four months. At Tsukasa's new workplace, Terminal Service One, his duty is to capture Giftias who have exceeded their lifespan limit to prevent them from becoming violent and losing their memories. After joining Terminal Service One, Tsukasa is paired with a charming Giftia named Isla who excels at retrieving Giftias despite her unassuming appearance and calm demeanor. Time is quickly running out, and Tsukasa must confront his feelings for Isla as her time draws near. Despite everyone's wishes, everything must come to an end eventually.
