The new release showcases never-before-seen storyboard art for Evangelion, featuring a short length. The "petit film" was directed and storyboarded by Mahiro Maeda, with supervision from Evangelion director Hideaki Anno. Shiro Sagisu provided the music, while Megumi Hayashibara narrated the Japanese version of the English lyrics. On his website, Sagisu shared comments about the video and shared the Japanese rendition of the lyrics. According to him, Anno informed him that they would no longer be using the F2 (Next Episode) theme after completing work on Q. This decision inspired Sagisu to create an extended version, which is featured in the video. Sagisu also revealed that the video consists of four versions of the song. These are the unreleased version by the London Studio Orchestra (at the beginning), Takahashi’s version from Xpressions, the version from Piano Forte #1, and the narrated version by Hayashibara.
