Drawing its inspiration from L.F. Baum's literary classic, The Wizard of Oz, the original manga created by Itsuki Natsumi revolves around a post-nuclear apocalypse scenario that has left six warring factions in the United States. In this bleak landscape, a legend has emerged about a city called OZ, a magical place where civilization still thrives. Scientist Felicia embarks on an arduous journey to find this fabled location with the help of mercenary Muto and android 1019. However, their search ends with the discovery of a military base and a crazed individual. In a parallel plotline, a girl hires a mercenary to lead her to Oz in search of her missing brother. A cyborg created by her brother also joins them. The trio eventually arrives at Oz, only to come face to face with its grim reality – a stark contrast to the supposed utopia that they had envisioned. To their surprise, they find the missing brother who turns out to be brilliant but far from lucid.
