During the year 972 A.D., Kyoto - the ancient capital of Japan - had fallen into a state of decay and deceit. The cause of this unfortunate situation lay on the shoulders of power-hungry samurai and onmyoji who had succeeded in corrupting the town. Additionally, citizens were suffering from hunger and widespread illness. The Imperial Court understood that they could no longer ignore the situation in Kyoto and tasked the renowned archer, Minamoto no Raiko, with the search for a rumoured mystical gem, which held the power to save the world. Tragically, Raiko became victim to the sickness. As a result, his youngest sister, Hikaru, took it upon herself to embark on the mission in secret. As Hikaru journeyed to search for the jewel, she encountered various individuals along the way and experienced many thrilling adventures.
