During his travels, a Chinese prince falls in love with a commoner and they wed, having a daughter. However, the prince becomes separated from his family in the midst of a rebellion. After many years, the once-prince is now emperor and manages to find his long-lost daughter. She comes to live with him, but has unfortunately picked up a few unpolished mannerisms from her previous life as a civilian.
