Three centuries prior, an experiment in genetics took a disastrous turn and led to the mutation of all forests on the planet. The vegetation, now endowed with consciousness, embarked on a mission to obliterate humanity, plunging Earth into a nightmarish dystopia. In the present, a young boy named Agito resides in Neutral City with his father, their village precariously maintaining a fragile truce with the nearby forest. While on his way to fetch water, Agito becomes separated from his friend and chances upon a curious relic from the past - a slumbering girl held within a mysterious machine. Awakening the girl named Toola Cm Sacl, Agito introduces her to their village. However, external forces possess alternate intentions for Toola, who holds the key to restoring the desolate Earth. Ignited by the misguided Shunack, a soldier from the old world set on destroying the forest, Toola follows him despite Agito's warnings. Driven to rescue Toola and unify both humankind and the forest, Agito must summon the power of the flora and pursue her.
