Junpei Kousaka, a high school sophomore, despises anything and everything related to cats due to his allergic predicament. However, his family, childhood friend who is now estranged, and crush, Kaede Mizuno, all happen to be cat enthusiasts. On his way home from school one day, Junpei thoughtlessly tries to discard an empty can but mistakenly hits and breaks a cat deity statue. This causes him to be cursed with the ability to comprehend feline language. He must keep this a secret as disclosing it will cause the person to share his fate of clumsiness. In order to break the curse, Junpei, with the aid of his cat, Nyamsus, must undertake one hundred good deeds for cats. Failure to do so would mean that he will transform into a feline, which would be fatal given his allergy.
