Playing as the left-winger in rugby has been a part of Natsuza Yuzuki's life since childhood. He gains recognition for his skills at Doushisha University, where he becomes a rising star in the Kansai University League.
Unfortunately, his dream comes to a halt after a severe motorcycle accident causes a spinal hernia, which means he can no longer play rugby. But, rather than giving up, Natsuza takes on the responsibility of managing the team, aiming to guide them to success.
Natsuza's squad includes an exceptional mix of players, like his best friend Seiichirou Jingyouji, who is stoic and plays as a full-back. There's also Yasunari Tsuru, a hotheaded freshman who holds a grudge against Natsuza and replaces him as the left-winger. Another member, Yuu Mashiro, has trouble maintaining his position as a scrum half.
Despite putting in endless effort to prepare his team, Natsuza can't shake off the feeling that something's not right. The team's star player, Ibuki Ueka, surprisingly quit rugby a year ago, leaving a gap that Natsuza is resolute to fill.
