The planets of the West and East were once linked by the "Dragon Pulse" that spanned the skies. Though once prosperous, the civilization is now a distant memory as war continually ravages the realm, leaving behind only dreams. Endless battles rage on between the two planets. The fabled "sacred treasures" - technology that could revolutionize the world - remain unknown to all except for a lone heretic. A girl from the Western Planet known as Jeanne Kaguya d'Arc, sees visions of a "Star Messiah" who can bring salvation to the world. She sets off on a journey to the East with Leonardo da Vinci, a great observer of the world. Along the way, they meet the heretic of the Eastern Planet and the "greatest fool of the day" - Oda Nobunaga.
