Rewritten: Ishi Okoshi: While on the hunt for Nyanko-sensei, Takashi Natsume comes across Mitsumi, a timid and small youkai with the important task of awakening Gantetsu, a mighty and imposing ayakashi, from a deep slumber. Natsume notices Mitsumi's determination to prove himself to Gantetsu, and decides to aid him in fulfilling his duty. However, they soon realize that they aren't the only ones searching to awaken Gantetsu. Ayashiki Raihousha: One day, Kaname Tanuma is visited by a mysterious individual, who engages in a brief conversation with him before departing. Natsume discovers that the visitor was actually a youkai in disguise, and despite claiming to be harmless, their presence appears to negatively affect Tanuma's health. As a result, Natsume becomes increasingly suspicious of the outsider and begins to question their motives and their connection to Tanuma.
