The series consists of two plotlines that feature some overlapping characters: Omoide no Kanata e and Inori no Todoku Koro. The story Omoide no Kanata e delves into the relationship between Shogo and Neo, which is put to the test when Shogo's ex-girlfriend, Kanata, enters the scene. Meanwhile, Inori and her significant other, Isshu, are the main focus of the second plotline, Inori no Todoku Koro. They had promised to attend the yearly fireworks festival, where they initially fell in love. Inori is left alone, basking in memories of the past two years, as Isshu is unable to attend the event due to work.
