He learns about Gauche's fate, the Marauders' obsession with pilfering mail, and the sinister machinations of Reverse. However, despite his knowledge, Lag is forbidden from revealing the truth and is banished back into the world of perpetual night. Meanwhile, Reverse's campaign to bring down the Letter Bees and overthrow the Amberground government gains momentum. As if matters weren't dire enough, the gaichuu insects are evolving, traitors may be lurking within the Hive, and Niche's hostile sister descends upon them with an army. These threats pose grave danger to the Letter Bees, but Lag and his team are resilient in the face of adversity and determined to deliver no matter what.
