The anime continues in the same vein as its preceding OVAs, tracking the experiences of a cohort of fifth-grade pupils located in the second classroom, as they journey through the tumultuous terrain of pre-adolescence. The show presents a vivid depiction of their spirited games, juvenile antics, and the assorted challenges that naturally arise as they begin to explore their burgeoning interest in the opposite sex. The show's protagonist, Ryota Satou, is joined by an array of significant friends who, collectively, make up the core of the school community.
