This anime takes inspiration from an eroge game created by Baseson that had a loose connection to the traditional Chinese book, Romance of the Three Kingdoms. After bandits killed her family in a raid at night, Kanu vows that she will not let other people experience the same suffering. She gains notoriety as a feared hunter of bandits. Along the way, she meets individuals who want to support her cause. One such person is RinRin, a girl who underwent a similar ordeal with bandits in the past.
