Yuuya Nomoto, a college student, unwittingly becomes ensnared in a kidnapping and bears witness to the brutal slaying of his companions by Hitomi Uzaki, the very girl they had planned to abduct. To compound matters, he is coerced into transporting her to an undisclosed destination and discovers that he has been selected as the prize for an ultimate battle between two Therianthropes - humans endowed with animal DNA that endows them with incredible abilities. Hitomi, a hybrid possessing ratel genes, utilises her rapidity and intrepidity to emerge triumphantly and save Yuuya's life. Nonetheless, as Yuuya recovers, he realises that he is now enmeshed in a proxy war between four powerful Japanese business conglomerates, each striving for domination of the economy. As their unwilling investor, Yuuya's fate is now intertwined with Hitomi's involvement in underground bloodsport competitions dubbed Killing Bites.
