Every day, the top students of Shuchiin Academy's student council participate in intense competitions. Miyuki Shirogane, the council's leader, and his second-in-command, Kaguya Shinomiya, engage in a mental battle as they attempt to reveal their innermost romantic feelings for each other. Due to Kaguya's icy demeanor and affluent family, she faces an additional obstacle that she must overcome in order to warm up to Shirogane and her teammates. In the meantime, Yuu Ishigami, the council's treasurer, struggles with his unrequited love for Tsubame Koyasu, a respected senior who boosts his confidence. The newest council member, Miko Iino, challenges herself to let go of her uptight personality while building a closer relationship with Ishigami. As love blossoms at Shuchiin Academy, the council members humorously involve their non-council peers in even more mischief.
