With no other options, Yuki-Onna seeks the help of Kotoko Iwanaga, who is renowned for her wisdom and ability to mediate between humans and spirits. Kotoko is respected by wandering spirits, and she adeptly resolves conflicts while also guarding humans from disruptions. In fulfilling her role as the regulator of interactions between worlds, Kotoko enlists the aid of her immortal lover, Kurou Sakuragawa, and promises to exonerate Masayuki while keeping Yuki-Onna's true identity concealed.
