The sequel to Harukanaru Toki no Naka de takes place one hundred years after the events of its predecessor. Despite the relatively short amount of time that has passed, Kyou - a city reminiscent of Heian-era Kyoto - is in upheaval, as a power struggle between the reigning emperor and the retired emperor grips the city. The people of Kyou are gripped with fear, convinced that the end of the world is fast approaching. Suddenly, Karin is whisked away to Kyou by the White Dragon during a walk with her friends. Now the new priestess of the White Dragon, Karin must fight against evil with the help of her guardians. However, she is plagued by mysterious visions of a man.
