Joey, a shy introvert residing in Center City, California alongside his cherished grandmother, faces financial struggles and relentless bullying on a daily basis. However, despite these obstacles, his optimistic spirit never wavers and he remains fully committed to his passion for robotics. Above all else, Joey dreams of owning a top-of-the-line Heybo robot. While out exploring the city with his friend Simon "Psy" Kaina, they stumble upon a damaged Heybo robot that had been carelessly discarded by wealthy kids. Determined to bring it back to life, Joey works tirelessly to restore the robot and gives it the name "Heroman". But one evening, during a particularly violent thunderstorm, Heroman undergoes a magical transformation and becomes even more powerful than ever before. Meanwhile, an ominous and threatening alien force known as the Skruggs descends upon Center City, prompted by Professor Matthew Denton, an acquaintance of Joey's, who had sought to establish a connection with the extraterrestrial beings. Witnessing the destruction caused by the alien invasion, Joey and Heroman jump to action, racing towards the site of the attack to aid those in need, including Joey's friend Lina Davis and her father. Drawing on his extensive skills and utilizing a controller attached to his arm, Joey guides Heroman to unleash its exceptional abilities in the defense of innocent civilians and against the Skruggs. With the alien aggressors relentlessly intent on the destruction of the planet, the fate of humanity lies in the hands of Joey and Heroman alone as they strive to prevent an apocalyptic end.
