Hideo Ozu works as an editor for a dubious company that produces adult videos. Despite his lifelong dream of becoming a movie director, his childhood friend Mai Kurosawa has achieved great success as an emerging actress. Sadly, his dreams are shattered when Mai demands that he leave her life upon discovering that he has been filming her without her consent. After a few drinks, Hideo meets Cyberdoll Sara, who asks him to fill out an invoice. Later, when he returns home, Hideo is greeted by three Cyberdolls - Mai, Ai, and Mie - all resembling different stages of Mai Kurosawa's life. When Kurosawa announces the release of a biopic that includes old footage filmed by Hideo, he jumps at the chance to revive his directing career by utilizing his three Cyberdolls.
