A visual novel-style compilation of three short stories, called Growlanser IV Returns, was included as a promotional ova with the PS2 game. This add-on features characters from Growlanser I, II, and III, as well as fairies associated with them, appearing in the ED. The Growlanser series is primarily focused on anti-war themes and includes elements like time freeze, time travel, and parallel worlds.
