Tsubasa Misudachi's ordinary life is disrupted when an enormous UFO crashes into a remote Japanese farmland. The Gatchaman, legendary protectors of Tachikawa City, oversee the incident as a mysterious being emerges from the wreckage. Amidst the chaos, J.J. Robinson, creator of the Gatchaman, entrusts Tsubasa with a state-of-the-art device called a Note, which grants her membership in their ranks. Hajime Ichinose, an experienced warrior, guides Tsubasa as she adjusts to her new role as a champion of righteousness. Meanwhile, the CROWDS technology, enabling people to materialize their thoughts into existence, is quickly expanding and gaining the approval of the Prime Minister. However, a secretive organization known as VAPE surfaces with malevolent intentions, unleashing a dangerous CROWDS that wreaks havoc and causes the populace to turn against the technology. Tsubasa and the Gatchaman team up to thwart VAPE's sinister plans before it's too late.
