Morimura Yuuki is a local high school music instructor as well as the renowned leader of the Fujimi Orchestra. The arrival of Tonoin Kei, a young and reputable conductor, as their new maestro is met with excitement by the group. Tonoin's stringent leadership style leads to an elevation in the musicians' abilities, and they all admire him greatly. However, Yuuki's concern grows as he feels that his contributions to the orchestra are insignificant in comparison to Tonoin's talents. Adding to this dilemma, Yuuki suspects that the girl he has been crushing on for three years has feelings for Tonoin instead. Yuuki contemplates leaving both the orchestra and his feelings behind. Tonoin, unwilling to lose Yuuki, declares his own feelings, revealing that he is gay. However, Yuuki is utterly taken aback by Tonoin's sudden confession, leading to an unfortunate misunderstanding between the two men.
