Having vanquished the Floor Masters of the preceding six levels, Hakuno Kishinami and Saber reach the peak of the Moon Cell. They find themselves confronting Leonardo B. Harwey, the mightiest Master in the annals of the Holy Grail War and the present darling of the fans, having triumphed previously. Coming upon a field of blossoms on levitating islets, Hakuno, Saber, and Rin Toosaka notice a cloaked man tending to the blooms. Saber seizes her weapon at once at the sight of the shrouded individual, who discloses that he is Prince Gawain: the Platinum Saber and Knight of the Round Table. However, the four engage in a dialogue and Gawain makes it clear that he has no inclination to engage in combat. They discuss the boundless possibilities of the Holy Grail, with Hakuno resolved to reestablish the Moon Cell to its original state. Their conversation is interrupted by a thunderous noise from a distance reverberating through the heavens. Gawain, who recognizes its import, informs the trio that they have little time left to live. He leads them to the ultimate battlefield, where the two Sabers must once again engage in combat to determine the fate of humankind.
