Kagura, derived from Okazaki Takeshi's 1990 manga, turns to his beloved friend Asami as his only consolation after a devastating loss in his family. Meanwhile, the spiritual world is in a state of war, pitting supernatural beings known as "Elementalors" against each other in an effort to regulate the planet's varied natural forces. Lord Shiki, a water-based Elementalor, captures Asami in order to exploit her unique abilities and save his daughter who is imprisoned for nearly causing the destruction of Earth. As Kagura uncovers his innate power as an Elementalor, he must work together with other Elementalors to free Asami and stop Lord Shiki's daughter from triggering a catastrophic imbalance.
