However, their peaceful days come to a halt when the gateway to the Digital World shuts down for an indistinct reason, and time presses forward. On a specific day, chaos erupts in Odaiba as a Kuwagamon suddenly appears and wreaks havoc. Taichi stumbles upon the devastation and courageously takes on the Kuwagamon, hoping to stop its destructive rampage. However, his efforts prove to be in vain as the powerful creature overpowers him. Feeling defeated, Taichi recognizes that he can't defeat the Kuwagamon on his own. Suddenly, his Digivice lights up, and a familiar voice fills the air. "Taichi, you've grown a lot!" Hearing the voice of his old friend rejuvenates Taichi's spirit, and the story of the DigiDestined commences once again with an exciting new adventure on the horizon.
