The year 2020 is witnessing technology advancements at an all-time high. All digital gadgets worldwide are intertwined through a singular network, facilitating data transfer. Little do people know that this network is now a habitat for life forms known as "Digimon." Ten-year-old Taichi Yagami is gearing up for his summer camp when peculiar happenings begin to occur in Tokyo - several electronic systems start to malfunction. Upon realizing that his sister and mother are stuck on an unstoppable train, Taichi rushes to the nearby station. Shockingly, he gets transported to an alternate world where he encounters a peculiar creature named Agumon, who already knows his identity. Taichi also obtains a peculiar gadget called a "Digivice" that lets him interact with the digital world. Taichi learns that he is now in the "Network," and malicious Digimon, similar to viruses, are launching cyberattacks on Tokyo's electronic infrastructure. Taichi and Agumon must work together to shut down these attacks before the mischievous Digimon endanger the entire world.
