Again, Kaitou Kid and Conan Edogawa clash in the newest addition to the annual Detective Conan film franchise. When the infamous thief sends a message to renowned actress Juri Maki, she enlists the help of private investigator Kogorou Mouri to protect the Star Sapphire, a valuable gem that represents faith, fate, and hope. Believing he has solved Kid's puzzle, Kogorou goes to the space theater where Juri is performing in the play "Josephine" to apprehend the elusive thief. The following day, Juri invites Conan and his friends to her vacation home to commemorate their victory over Kid's heist and the triumph of the play. However, their revelry is short-lived when a murder takes place during their flight. This accidental event sets off a chain of events that spiral into a disastrous situation. Conan and Kid, unconventional allies, must work together to rescue their acquaintances and prevent the plane from crashing.
