Wataru, an 11-year-old, takes matters into his own hands when his father departs and his mother becomes unwell and is admitted to the hospital. He resolves to alter his destiny by entering a doorway that Mitsuru, his friend, reveals. Within a realm of wonders and beasts, Wataru must gather his bravery and set out with numerous allies to rendezvous with the Goddess of Fate and amend his "misguided destiny."
