Following a modified end to the Choubimaru incident, the parties responsible are punished and a surprising marriage proposal is made by Misao to Mashisu. However, the proposal almost didn't happen until Mihoshi and Misao's mother Mitoto stepped in and gave their approval, much to the former G.P. Marshall Minami Kuramitsu's dismay. Life goes on as usual for the Masaki family, but when the matter of Tenchi's mother's demise arises, the answer nearly causes a divide between Tenchi, his father, and his grandfather. Only Tenchi's future mother-in-law Rea can provide a solution, as well as the resolution to Noike's peculiar secret.
